It was a stunning day but somewhat difficult conditions to photograph in. I decided to use it as an opportunity to try shooting into the light, something I’ve always struggled with. Catch of the day. I am already missing my days spent searching for the elusive otter in Morvern and Strontian. Out of eight outings, I only managed to catch a glimpse three times. This was my last day out in the area and was by far the best encounter I have had so far. It was a joy to watch this otter successfully hunt on a sunny afternoon. I am still pinching myself with this encounter. For many, Otters are a somewhat regular occurrence but for me, they have always eluded me. But after much research and some intel from the locals, I found this wonderful spot. I was surrounded by quite a few otters fishing, with some coming ashore. This is my first ever real otter encounter, it was a beautiful bright sunny day and a just an incredible all round.
